Look at the following sentences.
1) I would need time, commitment andthe passion to keep working.
2) I would need the time, commitment and passion to keep working.
3) I would need time, commitment and passion to keep working.
Are all three sentences correct? Is one better than the others? Does the position or absence of "the" change the meaning?i

In other words, the words 'time' and 'commitment' are not really connected to the idea of 'to keep working'. I'm talking about time and commitment in general, but a particular type of passion - to keep working.
In sentence 2, I'm saying that I need all three things in order to keep working:
1) the time to keep working
2) the commitment to keep working
3) the passion to keep working
Using the word "the" makes these three words more specific - it's a specific type of time, commitment and passion e.g. passion to keep working, but not any other kind of passion.
Sentence 3 is similar to sentence 2, but the three things (time, commitment and passion) are more general without the word "the". e.g. 'passion' in the general sense, not just specifically related to working.

The diagrams compare two different methods of defense for homes which are at risk of being flooded.
The key difference between the diagrams is that they show flood protection with and without a stopbank. In either case, the at-risk home is raised on stilts above ground level.
The first diagram shows how a stopbank acts as a flood barrier to stop river water from flooding homes. The stopbank is a small mound of land next to the river that is higher than the 100-year flood level, and prevents the river from bursting its banks. Nearby houses can be built on stilts to prevent flooding from rainwater, and a floodgate beneath the stopbank can be opened to allow this ‘ponding’ to drain off into the river.
When there is no stopbank, as shown in the second diagram, there will be nothing to stop the river from flooding. In this case, the solution is to put buildings on stilts. Some people argue that it is pointless to spend money on the protection of wild animals because we humans have no need for them. I completely disagree with this point of view.
In my opinion, it is absurd to argue that wild animals have no place in the 21st century. I do not believe that planet Earth exists only for the benefit of humans, and there is nothing special about this particular century that means that we suddenly have the right to allow or encourage the extinction of any species. Furthermore, there is no compelling reason why we should let animals die out. We do not need to exploit or destroy every last square metre of land in order to feed or accommodate the world’s population. There is plenty of room for us to exist side by side with wild animals, and this should be our aim
I also disagree with the idea that protecting animals is a waste of resources. It is usually the protection of natural habitats that ensures the survival of wild animals, and most scientists agree that these habitats are also crucial for human survival. For example, rainforests produce oxygen, absorb carbon dioxide and stabilise the Earth’s climate. If we destroyed these areas, the costs of managing the resulting changes to our planet would far outweigh the costs of conservation. By protecting wild animals and their habitats, we maintain the natural balance of all life on Earth.
In conclusion, we have no right to decide whether or not wild animals should exist, and I believe that we should do everything we can to protect them.
[h=3]IELTS Listening: keep a spelling list[/h] Many of my students have problems with spelling. Simple spelling mistakes can lose you marks in the IELTS listening test, even if you have the right answer.
My advice is to keep a spelling list - a list of words that you have difficulty with. Forget about spelling rules; just learn the words by heart.

Good neighbors are always helpful and supportive ; no matter whether you are in a critical situation or you are extremely happy , they will always be there for you . When you get sick or you are alone or deal with a problem , they will help and support you.

در یادگیری زبان چون باید از مطالب ساده شروع کرد مجبورن که سطح رو پایین بگیرن .. اما وقتی شما به سطح قابل قبولی رسیدی مطالب هم سنگین میشن .. ضمن اینکه این هنر معلمه که باید در ارائه مطالب ، خلاقیت بخرج بده تا کلاس خسته کننده نشه..
بهتون توصیه میکنم معلم خوب پیدا کنید تا با شورونشاطش این احساس رو در وجود شما از بین ببره و علاقه مندتون بکنه.. ضمن اینکه این مطالب برای کسانیکه که قصد گرفتن مدرک آیلتس دارن ضروریه !! یعنی فقط صرفا آموزش زبان نیست ، آموزش ایده و داشتن حرف در مقابل سوالات ممتحن هم هست !

Many young people went to war and were killed in action . Some of these people have been portrayed as heroic figures. Fahmideh is one of them.He was a thirteen-year-old teenager who couldn't sit and watch enemies attack his country . He sacrificed himself to save this country and countrymen ,and no one can help but appreciating such a hero .
He acted selflessly and threw himself under an enemy's tank while holding a grenade in his hand . It is an ultimate sign of bravery to put one's life on the line or lose it just for your country . I have always wondered what could have motivated him to sacrifice himself in order to save others ; he must have had strong beliefs .
The beliefs that were rooted in his love for God , and this is amazing because there are many people who don't care even about their dearest ones. He is a national hero whose name has been imprinted on the minds of each and every patriotic Iranian . This man was martyred for his faith and will always remain my superhero.

در یادگیری زبان چون باید از مطالب ساده شروع کرد مجبورن که سطح رو پایین بگیرن .. اما وقتی شما به سطح قابل قبولی رسیدی مطالب هم سنگین میشن .. ضمن اینکه این هنر معلمه که باید در ارائه مطالب ، خلاقیت بخرج بده تا کلاس خسته کننده نشه..
بهتون توصیه میکنم معلم خوب پیدا کنید تا با شورونشاطش این احساس رو در وجود شما از بین ببره و علاقه مندتون بکنه.. ضمن اینکه این مطالب برای کسانیکه که قصد گرفتن مدرک آیلتس دارن ضروریه !! یعنی فقط صرفا آموزش زبان نیست ، آموزش ایده و داشتن حرف در مقابل سوالات ممتحن هم هست !
نرم افزارهایی هایی هستن حتی واسه اندروید که معنی سوره رو به انگلیسی نوشته و شما میتونید هرجا که هستید ران کنید و بخونید .. یه سرچ کنید تو گوگل میاد.
بنده خیلی علاقه مندم که این پیشنهاد شما عملی بشه اما حقیقتش وقت نمیکنم!! و فکر میکنم که برای اینکار بهتره تاپیک دیگری باز بشه و اگر هر کدوم از دوستان مایل هستن اینکارو انجام بدن بنده استقبال میکنم و در حد پاسخ گویی به سوالات دوستان میتونم در خدمت باشم ..

My homeland Iran has always been the birthplace of great heroes who will never be forgotten . One of these great men is Hussein Fahmideh a man who will always be admired and remembered . His heroic act was really praiseworthy . During the eight years of war between Iran and Iraq , many soldiers and people acted bravely , and most of them died heroically .
Many young people went to war and were killed in action . Some of these people have been portrayed as heroic figures. Fahmideh is one of them.He was a thirteen-year-old teenager who couldn't sit and watch enemies attack his country . He sacrificed himself to save this country and countrymen ,and no one can help but appreciating such a hero .
He acted selflessly and threw himself under an enemy's tank while holding a grenade in his hand . It is an ultimate sign of bravery to put one's life on the line or lose it just for your country . I have always wondered what could have motivated him to sacrifice himself in order to save others ; he must have had strong beliefs .
The beliefs that were rooted in his love for God , and this is amazing because there are many people who don't care even about their dearest ones. He is a national hero whose name has been imprinted on the minds of each and every patriotic Iranian . This man was martyred for his faith and will always remain my superhero.
