The advantages can be the development of welfare services , educational facilities , health and civil services. Disadvantages include excessive growth of population and migration to big cities.

Describe a photograph you have taken which is important to you

A few months ago , when I decided to emigrate from Iran , the whole family gathered together . We had a great night ; I spent time with my father , mother , sisters , brothers , sister-in-law , brother-in-law , nieces and nephews. At dinner , it suddenly crossed my mind that it was the best moment to take a photo.

I bought a beautiful frame for that photo . I put this picture on my table . Whenever I am working or studying , I take a look at that and remember every single person in my family . This photo makes me more energetic .

It reminds me of my childhood , my parents who raised me , my sisters and my brothers who were my best friends , my sister and brothers-in-law who remind me of the beautiful day when my sisters and my brother got married , and my nieces and nephews .

God knows how much I love them . I have always believed that photos illustrate ( demonstrate , show ) moments that will never be repeated . You can remember those beautiful moments while looking at the photos . What is obvious in this photo is their deep sadness , though they are smiling , and this reminds me that somewhere in this world there are people who love me and care a lot about me.

Describe your favorite style of dress

Cloths have always been a significant part of a person's character and a nation's identity. People are sometimes judged by the way they dress and whatever the people of a country wear reflects their thoughts , religious beliefs and culture . However , today with regard to fashion trends and export and import of different goods , including clothing , you can wear anything you like.

I personally prefer casual cloths because they are convenient , simple and pretty . I particularly like blue jeans , because you can find a variety of them in different sizes and colors . Moreover ( Plus ) , they are suitable for many occasions and situations , for example , work , university , parties and even at home .

Being comfortable , pretty and trendy ( fashionable , up to date ) are the main factors that influence my choice of cloths . I don't really care about fashion because I believe sometimes what becomes fashionable does not suit my culture , belief and figure . A perfect item of clothing which is chosen , with respect to the occasion always seems gorgeous ,even though it might be a plain ( simple ) one .

One who always wears unsuitable and untidy cloths is usually careless about what is going on around them ( him + her = them , or , him / her ) . On the contrary , a person who cares about whether his ( his / her ) clothes are clean and appropriate is naturally an organized person . I believe that clothes make a man .

Describe a tourist attraction you have visited

One of the greatest tourist attraction in Iran is the Persepolis which I have been there several times. I once read in a tourist guide that the Persepolis was one of the cities in the Ancient Persian Empire where luxurious feasts ( party , ceremony ) and parties were held . It was the capital for celebration at the time of Great Daruis , Khashayar Shah and other Achaemenian kings .

During the first celebration of Nowruz , representatives of different nations from India , Babylon , Egypt and Greece presented their gifts , such as gold chalices ( Grail ) and different dishes shaped like animals to the king.

Most historians believe that when Alexander the Great , attacked Persia in 330 B.C. and set fire to the Persepolis, the attack resulted in destroying a large number of books and art work.

The ruins of the Persepolis are still there and archaeologists have confirmed ( acknowledge ) the sign of attack and fire . Although nowadays all that is left is ruins , when you walk in the place , you feel you are back to those glorious (majestic , great ) times when there were so many palaces with fantastic columns and scripts . This place is a part of our history and a part of what we were and we will always enjoy visiting it.

Since everybody's character forms during childhood , these days have great importance . Children learn about morals ( behavior , principle ) , proper and acceptable behavior , social intercourse ( relationship , friendship ) , family ethics ( moral principles ) and basic knowledge in this phase of their life.

There is no doubt that everybody's personality undergoes some significant developments as they grow up . We learn more , experience more and progress ( improve ) more.

I don't think so . The human brain is an amazing phenomenon capable of holding a large amount of information . The more practice , the more powerful it becomes.

What do you think is the biggest threat to the environment ?1

Pollution is one the biggest threats to the environment and to human life today . The air , water and soil are constantly (continuously ) being polluted by different sources . Car fuel , factory smoke and effluents ( waste , emission ) pumped into the air ,water and pesticides are the common pollutants . Radioactive waste from reactors cause pollution on a large scale . The leakage at a nuclear power station in Charnobyl in Russia is an example.

Air pollution is the major environmental problem of our area . The only solution would be proper education in order to take preventive measures against air pollution .

Since The major sources of pollution are : various industrial manufactures , heavy traffic , unfiltered gas and smoke produced by chemical fuel

Environmental pollution is a serious issue and it is important to take steps on an individual level to reduce it . But now , since it is becoming an international issue , it is time to take environmental protection to a higher level.To what extent do you agree or disagree?1

During much of the twentieth century , little action was taken to encourage lifestyle changes that are environmentally sound. However, over the last twenty years , significant efforts have been made to educate humanity about the threats of modern lifestyle pose to the environment . It is agreed that environmental protection efforts need to be brought to the fore of global priorities and taken to a more advanced level of activity . Manners in which this can be done will be analyzed , namely through the global employment of renewable energy and through global educational efforts.

Firstly , renewable energy needs to be developed further to really make a difference in mankind's fight against global pollution . Take solar power , for example . At the moment , solar power is still notably more expensive than petrol , although the gap is closing quickly . With a little extra push , solar power could become a cheaper energy source , thus inciting pollution-causing petroleum industries to shift their focus to the renewable energy sector.It is for this reason that environmental protection should be taken to a higher level .

Secondly , a big part of the fight against pollution is educating people about the measures they can take to help . For instance , advertising on highly frequented websites like Facebook could do a lot to raise awareness of the lifestyle people need to employ to best help the environment . Because online efforts to promote environmental awareness are low at the moment , it is felt increasing them could encourage people to be receptive to new lifestyle change . It is for this reason that the idea of beefing up the world's environmental protection effort is supported .

After analyzing how growth in renewable energy and awareness can help the current global environmental crisis , it is felt the argument for environmental policy improvements has been proven . It is recommended these policies to be put into action the world over.

Most would agree the current state of the environment is rather grim . Adding to this problem is the growth of highly populated countries , whose carbon footprint is increasing at an alarming rate . It is felt that further environmental damage could be best prevented through improvements in education and technology . Examples of both will be analyzed to prove this strategy a viable option.

Firstly , protecting the environment begins by educating people about the problem and helping them understand what they can do to help . For example , in many North American cities , people tend to use energy recklessly , often without even realizing they are acting as major contributors to environmental problems . By distributing information via television commercials and the Internet , more people could be made aware of the severity of the problem and told what they can do to help . Thus , education is thought to play a central role in the prevention of future environmental damage.

The second preventative measure is technology . For instance , as its of technology develops , the price of solar power is starting to compare with that of other energy sources , thus making it more economically viable . It is clear developments in technology help to reduce the price of alternative energy sources and make it a plausible solution . Thus , improvements in technology are closely linked with the prevention of future environmental damage.

After conducting this analysis , it is clear that developments in education and technology lie at the core of a comprehensive strategy to prevent environmental problems. It is recommended that the global family make efforts to reduce future environmental problems via these methods.

.Talk about your favorite season

In Iran we can experience all seasons equally , and I personally believe each season is beautiful and lovely in its own right.However , I like winter which is the coldest season of year the most . It is the last season based on the solar calendar and the first one based on the Christian calendar .

Snow is the most famous symbol of winter . It makes everywhere and everything white and pure . I usually drink a cup of tea while standing next to the window and looking at the beautiful scenery outside . Winter brings back my childhood memories ; snowball fights , making a snowman and trying to find a carrot , buttons and a scarf for decorating it .

People wear warm cloths and their colorful hats and scarves and make the city beautiful. Skiing is an enjoyable sport which is inseparable from winter . Mountain scenery is also fantastic in winter .

In winter , we can work for linger periods of time because our appetite remains high throughout( all over ) the season , and the higher food intake makes it possible for me to devote(dedicate) more energy to work.

Talk about a volunteer activity you have done in your life.

I guess it was two years ago when one day my friend and I decided to do something really different from other days . So , after a short discussion , one of my friends suggested that we pay a visit to a sanatorium and we all agreed . We went to a sanatorium for old people.

In the morning , we bought some flowers , candy and fruit. The old people were eating breakfast when we arrived . We sat close to them and listened to them . We wrote letters for them to send to their children . We laughed and played together and took some photos .

With the permission of the people in charge , we helped some of them take baths . I became a volunteer to remind myself that someday I would be like them , so I must educate my children in such a way they don't treat me like this in the future .

When I helped an old woman eat , or walked with an old man , I was thinking how kindly a mother helps her kid eat food and how eagerly a father helps his kid walk and how they never complain. I thought of how human beings could forget that if their parents weren't there to protect them , they would not survive even for a day in childhood because a human infant is the most vulnerable of all species , not able even to sit or walk .

On my way back home I could still hear them thanking us and I felt extremely good about what I had done .

Describe an important letter you recieved

Last year I prepared my certificates and passed the IELTS . Then I sent an application to a German University to continue my studies . After a month I received a letter that changed my life . That letter was from that university and indicated that they had accepted my application . Since I had been trying so hard , I was very eager to see the result of my efforts .

On the other hand , I was worried about being far away from the family , financial problems and different subjects I had to study in other language .
That letter would result in continuing my studies in a good country . I might be able to find a good job after finishing my studies and remain in the country and change my life for good .

Some of my friends and relatives encouraged me to accept the letter while others just made me more confused and stressed out . It was a real dilemma . But now that I live in Germany and I'm doing my studies , sometimes I think how wonderfully some words on paper can change someone's life and I think I did the best thing by responding to that letter.

People usually sit for hours while using computers and consequently they don't move a lot and this results in laziness and obesity(fatness) . There is also some disorders(illness) associated with the lack of movement . Using computers for a long time can also be harmful to eyes.

It helps save money and time because with e-learning you do not have to go to educational sites and come back home . You can also record the materials which provide a good opportunity for reviewing and repeating . Computers will replace most of the present workforces , and I think computers as small as a wrist watch will be capable of conducting critical operations in the near future.

The most remarkable (substantial , notable ) positive effect is that people can increase the amount of their information and update it through the use of enormous database and sending and receiving information . Easy access to immoral issues for every single individual in the society and immoral misuses can be some of the bad effects .
