Describe a book you enjoyed reading

Harry potter is definitely the best book I have ever read . This book is a collection of seven fantasy novels written for children by J.K. Rowling , a young English writer . It is about the adventures of a young boy called Harry Potter who is studying to become a magician .

My brother suggested that I read this book and I'm very happy to have done so because it is one the most successful best sellers worldwide . Many films , video games and commercial goods have been made based on this book which has been translated into more than 64 different languages.

The writer tries to use imagination ( illusion , initiative ) to create a different atmosphere in order to build a strong relationship with the readers , who are mostly young adults . Magic is a natural fact rooted in reality and has nothing to do with any specific religion or religious groups .

When the story begins , Harry doesn't have the faintest clue about the world of sorcery (magic) , and when it ends , he has three children and his wife is also a professional sorcerer in the community .

The interesting point is that they continue their lives in both worlds without any interference . My viewpoint toward the world around me changed after I had read this book and sometimes I think the world in which we live is magic , too.

Describe a skill you learned successfully

As far back as I can remember , my mother played the piano . Every morning I woke up with the pleasing sound rising from the piano . Actually , I grew up with that sound . I used to sit next to her and watch her playing it .

When she was practicing her lesson with her teacher, I listened carefully to learn . Sometimes she helped me play it , and so I learned to play the piano gradually . She took me to class and asked her teacher to instruct ( teach ) me ,too . I became so interested in music that I made use of any opportunity to play .

It was an inseparable part of my soul and I gave voice to my feelings through it . I really enjoyed playing whether I was happy or sad . When I was thirteen , I composed my first song and dedicated (gave ) it to my mother as a gift for Mother's Day .

I remember my mother cried with happiness and told me that one day I was going to be a great pianist . Her words had such a great influence on me that I thought about composing seriously .

I spent hours playing and composing . When I was seventeen , I played at a local concert ; a few days later I received an invitation from a famous band to join them .

I became a great pianist and this was all because of my mother who taught me , supported me and guided me , and I will always owe her a great deal .

Describe a party you particularly remember

Well , I guess it was 3 years ago when one of my Christian friends invited me to an Easter party . I had never been to such a party . My friend , his family and some of their close relatives were there .

Easter is a holiday celebrated on a Sunday in March or April . Christians believe that after Jesus had been crucified , he came back to life on this day . Unlike other occasions , Easter doesn't have a definite day it varies from March 22 to April 25 .

It's a spring holiday and is somehow similar to Nowruz in Iran . People go to church to pray and sing religious songs . One tradition at Easter is to color eggs and eat them , which undoubtedly has a symbolic meaning . Children must fine colored eggs hidden by rabbits somewhere in the garden and eat them .

Coloring eggs is an old tradition which probably alludes to Jesus who colored dresses in any color he wished and the rabbit is a symbol of fertility . I ate delicious food I had never eaten before . I learned a lot of things about Easter and got a little doll as a present which reminds me of that beautiful party .

A very important aspect of teaching is the ability of the teacher to shape their teaching style to the needs of their students . As an example , if students in any given class are having trouble understanding a classroom topic , the teacher can rephrase the topic and deliver it in a more effective way . A computerized teacher would be less in-tune with what students require and thus would be incapable of doing this . As a result , technology will not replace teachers.

When I was at university , one day a notice on the board attracted my attention ; it was about a gathering held by some universities addressing crisis management when an earthquake occurs .

It was a few months after the catastrophic ( tragic ) earthquake in Bam . As people sympathized with the residents of Bam and they were worried that such a disaster might happen again , they had organized that gathering . In that gathering , some of the students showed us how to survive ( remain alive , get through ) through simulating an earthquake and the people who were present were given brochures .

This was very interesting for me , because unlike my prejudgements , the safest place to stay at the time of earthquake was not under table , in the cars or some other things . On the contrary , these places are the most dangerous ones .

His lecture was really informative and after learning lots of facts about earthquakes and ways of protecting ourselves from the potential dangers , I felt better because I would be able to save other people's lives in the time of crisis.
